Black Oxide Drill Bits

All drill bits sold at OEM Tools Direct comply with strict ANSI specifications.  Our Black Oxide Drill bits are precision ground from M-2 High Speed Steel with an HRC of 63-66. Our bit web design has thicker core than a standard drill bit, which provides maximum strength and reduces side-load breakage. A unique parabolic flute form clears chips and debris fast to keep the bit performing at low temperatures To prevent walking and provide a quick start on contact, we make the 135 Split Point Tip (3/16" diameter and larger) a standard feature on our drill bits.   The SURE-Grip Tri-Cut Shank (3/16" diameter and larger) helps eliminate the possibility of the drill spinning out during use. Our Black Oxide drills are designed for heavy duty drilling in soft alloy and carbon steel, wood, aluminum and plastics.  The Black Oxide coating extends the drill life and reduces friction during use.
